Explore.Discover.

We have all been travelling since childhood! Be it summer vacations at Grandparent's house, or for functions like weddings or family holidays at Kashmir or North East or South India or wherever you like!
Travelling is one solid learning process, and it sure teaches you a lot! Mainly adjusting and adapting to new situations. What does Travelling mean? It basically is getting out of your comfort zone! Travelling is not about exotic vacations always! It can be an urgent visit, a trip to some relative, a business conference, a simple drive to some place 70-100 kms away, a school trip, a trek, a spiritual trip to Shirdi, anything, everything! Getting out of your house, meeting people is verrry important. Why? lets see!

  • The earth is basically a very beautiful planet,so the more you can look around, the better!
  • Meeting your family or taking a trip with your friends is really good stuff, and it makes you a more socially flexible person.
  • Packing your bags, putting on your holiday clothes, clicking pictures, eating diverse dishes, are all fun things to do!
  • Exploring a new place, asking for directions, perhaps even making new friends, are all happy-vibe-emitting-things.
  • Any kind of experience, good or bad, is great for your personality.

Planning is a skill worth learning, and you can also face some problems if your trip isn't well planned, unless it"s a freelance fun category of trip which has minimal planning which can be a little risky, but then again, the fun category of people love risks!

The excuse that Travelling is expensive, is a bad one, its not about money, its about priorities. So what if you stay in a homestay instead of a 3 star hotel or take a bus instead of the taxi! Spend on good food and sight seeing and maybe some souvenir shopping

instead! Exciting people who enjoy their life believe in travelling and taking out time for atleast 2 trips a year! They save money accordingly, smartly.

So don't miss out on any chance you get to travel, unless you have some really important work at home or some exam-class-college etc.
Solo travel is also gaining popularity these days, but I won't suggest that to everyone.
Go out there and check out the world,as much as you can. Improve your photography skills! Stay safe and avoid mishaps, stay connected with people who care for you. Or, instead, totally cut off your network, ditch your cellphone, and make it a buzz-free vacation if you really need a break from your stressful relationship with Technology and Internet! :)

Not perfect, but good enough :)

You're watching tv, you have homework pending, you forgot to plan a gift for your friend's bday the next day, you had a normal day at work or college, something nice for dinner,a lil argument with your dad over how much time you spend on your phone, half of your new year resolutions are long gone, you're feeling too lazy to clean up your study table or hard drive .You had a brief hi hello with some of your buddies. A namaste to some uncle aunty. You have some friends whom you have'nt met in ages, and some whom you meet everyday.
Pretty normal.

Here's something you only learn after a blow. A shock.
Sudden incidents that are irreversible.
And they leave you with lifelong regrets. They are depressing because you were too ignorant or lazy or easygoing when there was time and now you can't do anything about it.
Anyways, what might cheer you(in this case,me) up is life's still good. To do justice with it, you have to have a goal,a set of good habits, good friends, good food, and a frequent smile!

I used to say forgive and forget, but this recent incident that occurred made me understand that it's not that easy a task! Letting go is super tough!
I had never imagined something of this kind could happen, but it did. Loss of a childhood friend.
But some people showed amazing strength and I learnt how strong we all are.
And you have to move on no matter how hard it is! Because you can't sulk n cry forever.
Questions like why did this happen, keep popping in our heads. But duh! No luck at getting an answer good enough!
So life gives us these bumps and jerks so that we don't become static and lazy. Good ones make it memorable and bad ones add experience.

To top it off, don't take anything for granted, from your parents to siblings to friends to teachers.
Try not to hurt anyone. Even people you hate and you can't stand.
Have respect for everything you own and be grateful for how lucky you are. Our stupid problems are nothing compared to what some people go through.
Live every moment, whether it is a boring lecture or a bus ride or a bad movie or a family event.
And when you understand that life is precious, you start living it to the fullest :)

My Helmet Story ;)

This may sound offbeat. I’m gonna write about my Helmet. It's not a traffic rules reminder, just my experience :)

It was the thing I hated the most when it was given to me. I was asked to drive with this, or not drive at all :P
I was pissed! Partly, because I didn’t want to put such a heavy thing on my head, I was happy with the pretty scarves :)
And partly, because my dad thought I might fall down (pretty certainly :D).
I believed, that why think about the negatives! Why even bother about accidents?
But then, Indore’s traffic reality clicked in my head! Even if it’s not your fault, you can have a really bad day! And then many consecutive bad days to recover :P
So I accepted the reason behind my dad’s compulsion for the stupid helmet.
Still, I hated it! It ruined my already not so great hair :P
Plus, I rarely saw any female drivers with helmets on. I felt Why me!?
So, I used to bluff....I used to put it on when I left my home, then, as I turned from my row, I used to stop, remove the burden from my head, re-adjust everything and go. Also, the evil burden took up all the space in my Pleasure's boot (a.k.a dikki ):-<
So, I cheated like that for a few days.
Then, one day I didn’t have time to stop as I was getting late for a movie and my friends were calling incessantly, so I drove all the way with the helmet. My love story began :P
I started liking my dear black helmet.

We all know the functions of a helmet but anyways I’ll do the formality :P
You’re shielded from the wind, dust and noisy horns. You are at peace basically !

It’s a whole little world inside.I used to talk to myself(one should do that! :D), sing la la laaa and  I was there, through the traffic, no damage, in one piece, in no time ( atleast it felt like no time :P)!
It also provides the facility to abuse the fellow drivers who create chaos on the road :D So the purpose of getting the frustration out is served, and no one finds out! :-D

So it’s safety+fun!

A few months ago, I had to drive everyday for dance classes half an hour away from home. And it rained quite a lot during that time( P.S. it was not the rainy season though… October..to be precise!)
The glass shield was such a saviour in rains! You gotta keep the shield open upwards, so you get a clear view and it protects you like a waterproof cap :) Otherwise it's difficult to drive with water pouring into your eyes!

It gives you a confidence that comes when you  follow traffic rules which are not even compulsory in your city.

Thanks to Papa, by his courtesy, I have a really good habit now that I can’t do without  :)

My message is, get a good looking pretty helmet for yourself, and drive safe :)
Prevention really is better than cure.
God forbid if you meet an accident, if your head is alright, then you are alright!
Don’t forget to tie it’s strap though  :P
